TRANSTECH-‘19, the 12th edition of TRANSTECH, was organized by Tolani Maritime Institute, Induri, Pune in association with the Institute of Marine Engineers (India) and the Institution of Engineers (India)on 8 & 9 March 2019.

TRANSTECH provides a platform to students from maritime and non-maritime institutes to present their papers and showcase their ideas as modals on the specified theme. It encourages the young generation of engineers to delve into numerous activities such as technical paper presentation, model making and research works, thereby empowering them with a razor-sharp thinking ability.

The event was successfully organized with excellent response from many colleges across India and Bangladesh. Apart from Technical Papers presentations, invited talks by eminent personalities in various sectors, from India and abroad, were also arranged during the event and a competition of display of models based on any of the sub theme was held at the venue for which separate prizes were given. The question answer sessions after the presentations made the event highly interactive and lively. Overall, Transtech was really a professional oriented gathering and a new educational experience.

Transtech-‘19 had a special flavor as international participation of students and invited talks by eminent personalities were involved. The theme enabled the engineers of today to acquire the contemporary know-how in this sphere of study, thereby edifying them with regards to different aspects of the subject. This varied range of academic exchanges benefitted not only the participants, but also the to-be engineers in the audience. Transtech provided an apt forum for such laudable pupils to bring out the best in them, thus leading them towards reaching the top echelons of any industry. The theme this year was “Advancement in Technologies for Sustainable Transportation”.
