NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF FACILITATION CENTRESIn accordance with a directive issued by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), vide their Training Circular No. 12 of 2019 dated 19 July 2019, all Facilitation Centres, including the ones at IME(I) Head Office at Nerul, Navi Mumbai and IME(I) branches at Chennai, New Delhi, Pune, Goa, Kolkata, Kochi and Visakhapatnam (which hitherto issued Watch Keeping Certificates, Certificates of Proficiency et al for ratings), shall cease to accept applications with effect from 01 August 2019. The DGS has developed an e-governance module to automatically identify eligible candidates and issue system generated certificates as per the prescribed Rules. All Facilitation Centres shall close by15 Aug 2019 upon the completion of the processing of all applications received prior to 01 August 2019.
