The Institute is collectively Managed by elected representatives of different branches in the Governing Council alongwith President, Vice President and Honorary General Secretary elected every two years.

The Institute has at present Branches at Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, Delhi, Cochin, Visakhapatnam, Goa and Pune. Each Branch is administered by an Executive committee elected by the Members attached to the Branch. Institute also has Chapters at Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangluru and Patna

The Governing Council is assisted in its working by Various Sub-Committees.Presently the institute has over 9500 members spread all over the globe. Our members include the top decision makers in the Maritime Industry.
