Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Shri Ramesh Bais, inaugurated the Merchant Navy Week at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Friday, 31st March 2023. Director General of Shipping & Chairman National Maritime Day Celebration Central Committee, Shri Rajiv Jalota, IAS, pinned the Merchant Navy flag on the apparel of the Hon’ble Governor to mark the inauguration and the beginning of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Function was attended by the delegates of the Central Committee.
The DG Shipping Shri Jalota expressed his sincere thanks to His Excellency the Governor of Maharashtra Shri. Bais for the inauguration of the Merchant Navy Week and briefed about the importance of the National Maritime Day and the developments made by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India and other connected organisations in the maritime field.
