As an additional benefit to the members IME(I), two separate mentorship programs have been introduced for trainee marine engineers in MTIs and sailing junior marine engineers to help them to improve their professional competence. The mentorship programs will be co-ordinated by the designated principal co-ordinator of Examination & Certification Sub-Committee of IME(I) with the help of designated co-ordinators of branches and chapters of IME(I). Additionally, the names of mentors are being displayed on Members’ portal of IME(I) website to enable the prospective mentees, who need mentorship assistance, to contact the mentors through the Principal Co-Ordinator( ECSC) or Branch/ Chapter co-ordinators, depending on the location of the mentees.
