On 01 March 2019, upon the successful completion of the inspection, by MMD, of the IME(I), Kochi branch, the Directorate General of Shipping, granted the branch an approval for conducting the Refresher and Updating Training ( RUT) course for all Engineers.
With this approval, IME(I) Kochi branch now has the requisite approval to run three courses:
1.) MEO Class I, (Preparatory)
2.) MEO Class II,(Preparatory ) &
3.) RUT
The Kochi Branch was also, recently, Graded A1 subsequent to it’s Comprehensive Inspection Programme (CIP) by IRS.
The planned schedule for courses in the coming months are as follows, subject to the specified minimum intake of participants
1.) MEO Class I commencing on: 1st May / 1st June
2.) MEO Class II commencing on: 1st May / 1st June
3.) First RUT course commenced on : 25th March 2019
